Peter- Bio

Peter Krejcar is an award-winning pianist, who is gaining prominence for his musical versatility and outstanding accomplishments. His talent has been recognized at local, national and international levels with various competitive awards, scholarships, and performance opportunities, and two of his concert performances were broadcast on CKUA radio.

 

In 2013, Peter won the Alberta round of the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Association Piano Competition, which offered him a Provincial concert tour. He went on to win the Marek Jablonski Prize at the National Competition held in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 2010, he placed first at the Northern Alberta Concerto Competition which earned him a performance with the Edmonton Youth Orchestra at the Winspear Centre for Music.

 

Peter grew up in Beaverlodge, Alberta and started piano lessons at the age of six. He moved to Edmonton in 2008, to study with David Tutt at the Alberta College Conservatory of Music.
