Born in Steam Mill, Nova Scotia, Edward Enman is now pursuing a Doctorate of Music degree in piano performance at l’Université de Montréal under the guidance of Maneli Pirzadeh. Edward has degrees from the University of Ottawa and Acadia University and is the winner of several prizes for his dynamic performing including the Zoya Solod Prize for Piano (UofO) and the 3rd prize in the 36th Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition in 2013.
His original compositions have been performed across Canada and have received several national awards. His newest original work for piano will be featured in his program of this year’s Eckhardt-Gramatté competition.
In addition to being an enthusiastic supporter of new Canadian music, Edward is a two-time marathoner, an avid reader and traveller, and a lover of all things baseball.
Edward is currently active as a pianist, composer, and collaborative musician in Montréal. (edwardenman.com)
